Participating on this course is a great way to do more diving while continuing to learn under the supervision of an experienced Instructor. having fun….!

There are two options to achieve Advanced open water diver status.

Option 1
You’ll improve your skills and techniques while completing five adventure dives. Two are compulsory (Underwater Navigation and Deep) plus three electives from the numerous adventure dives. The great bit about this course is that the study pack included with the course is much easier on the brain cells and concentrates on having fun while getting wet.…!  Adventure dives are single dives..

Option 2
Electing for this option, not only will you log more dives but, you will gain more experiences. You can achieve your Advanced Open Water Qualification by booking up on five speciality courses, two of which must include Underwater Navigation and Deep. The first dive of each speciality course will be credited towards your Advanced Open Water diver qualification. The final qualifying dive will be the Deep speciality.
Ultimately you finish up as an Advanced Open Water diver with five specialities under you belt…. way to go..You will be advised to book up courses that develop you into a sound and confident diver, typically starting with
Peak Performance Buoyancy (adjusting weighting and trim in the water thus reducing drag and effort). Next we will complete Navigation, giving you the confidence to know where you are and going using direction, distance and topography. This could be followed by Multi level, where by using a dive computer you gain understanding of the benefits of these tools to extend your dive. Next could be the Wreck speciality, which points out the hazards
associated with this sort of dive, whilst guiding you in the techniques used to make these fantastic dives safe and enjoyable. Finally we complete Deep, generally around 25m-30m, experiencing the effect of a deep dive. All of which will make you prepared to dive the abundant number of wrecks found of the southcoast

Prerequisites

You must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification from another organisation).

What is next after Advanced Open Water Diver?

Depending on which option you choose, there are a number of speciality courses to further enhance your diving
enjoyment whilst gaining more knowledge and experience. You could decide that problem prevention and how to manage a rescue is your preferred choice, if so you could continue your dive qualification progression on the Diver
Rescue course. This is a challenging but rewarding course and highly recommended  for all who participate in scuba diving. Whatever options you choose, just keep diving!!!
